The Salt Lake 1/2 Marathon that is! No, I definitely didn't run it (running is so not up my alley), but I walked it, or as Nate would put it I "power walked" it. My friend Renae did it with me and the whole thing was so fun - the training, planning, and even being downtown to catch TRAX before 6:00 this morning was kinda fun. There were quite a few other walkers so we had "company" the whole way. And there was so much going on along the route, lots of musicians on random corners and such, that made it extra fun. We didn't cross the starting line until about 15 minutes after the race started, so even though the picture says 3:28:45 we actually finished in about 3 hrs 13 mins, which was faster than our goal of 3:15. I'm exhausted and a little sore, but it feels great! Now it's on to the St. George marathon for me... if we make the lottery I'll walk it with my aunt Tracy. Maybe a little crazy (I know) but I'm energized and excited!
